Senior Scope Salute to Notable Manitobans
September 17, 2026
St John's Alumni Association
On September 17, 2026, the Senior Scope Newspaper hosted the first Salute to the Notable Manitobans featured in their publication. It was held at the Viscount Gort in Winnipeg.
Over 300 participants and guests attended. The program is displayed below along with the St. John's Alumni, former staff & former students who were a part of this amazing event.
Brian Burdy and Sue Gibb represented all of the members of the Alumni Association
Alumni Association members and their guests that attended the event were Carolyn Rickey (1962-68), Melissa (nee Dear) Caron (1993-99), Corinne (nee Groening) Forsman (1981-84 & Staff since 2015)
and Trish (nee Proulx) Rosolowich (1973-76)
Also attending was Ed Kustra (Staff Metals Teacher 1968-85) @ 97 years young!

Over $4000 was raised for Myeloma Cancer Research Canada
